Before Panel Chair Paul Farrelly invited Adam to work with the Panel in May 2021, Adam had submitted nominations for approximately 120 properties for Part IV designation to what was then Heritage Preservation Services. Since joining the Panel as a guest, he has submitted an additional 106 nominations, for a total of around 225 since spring 2021. Each nomination is highly detailed, demonstrating a professional’s skilled research and scholarship. Adam has been selected by the City of Toronto Heritage Planning department to be the TEYCPP point person to assist with manager Gary Miedema’s heritage survey project, a massive inventory of Toronto’s cultural heritage properties.

ACO Toronto’s publicly accessible database, TOBuilt, has also benefitted enormously from Adam’s volunteer work researching, photographing, and cataloguing Toronto’s recognized and potential heritage resources. His research and contributions have been acknowledged by the City of Toronto’s Heritage Planning department as being of great assistance to them in identifying heritage properties, particularly properties at risk and those that may have remained overlooked.

Adam also offers a variety of free heritage-themed public walking tours as well as talks and workshops on heritage research to architecture students and members of the general public.
