Bogarttown Schoolhouse

Nominated for the Peter Stokes Restoration Awards: Small-Scale/Individual/Small Business

Since the 2024 opening of the restored Bogarttown Schoolhouse in Whitchurch-Stouffville, hundreds of families from near and far have visited, and they have been deeply impressed by the schoolhouse and its educational program.  On its 100th anniversary in 1957, former student Eldridge A. Currey remarked that the little red schoolhouse at Bogarttown rendered invaluable service to the community in many ways.  All involved with the project are confident that this has already been accomplished and will continue to be for many years to come.
